and so valentine's day passed without the usual frantic search for friends and juniors to pile chocolates and little sweet gifts onto.1 nicely-wrapped chocolate from an NUS attachment student and a few msges..scarce as they were during CNY.

that's no school for you.

and so 'happy valentines' is merely a statement for a day with a special date that passed just like any other 364 days.
